I have decided to continue painting the series of wine caves but discovered that whisky is still aged in barrels in caves that aren’t as old as those found in Europe but still providing the sensuous pleasure of the mind, body and soul. The cave itself had that extra contrast in design that I couldn't resist painting. Also the memory of having my first whisky with my Dad inspired me.
